Ep. 92: KISS KISS, YANG YANG (UBI 2020?)
Today we're digging into the policy positions of Andrew Yang, who is running for president in 2020 as a Democrat. His chief policy position is implementing a basic income--which he calls a freedom dividend. Side note: why the fuck does he call it a freedom dividend. i hate writing the phrase 'freedom dividend.'

"I am a full-blown communist."-- Not Andrew Yang, Unfortunately
Anyway, Andy (I hope he's okay with being called Andy) has a broad progressive agenda. HOWEVER, our primary criticism is his unflinching attachment to capitalism. It's gross. Also, the way that climate change seems at the fuzzy edge of his political frame, rather than chiefly in focus. That being said, he may be worth supporting in the sense that his candidacy or presidency may pose an opportunity socialize... socialist and radical ideas in the same way that the Trump presidency has dragged fascism into the mainstream.
Also, he's the only Democrat that has officially announced as far as I know so... He's currently got our vote?
