Ep. 99: Automate & Cooperate (W/ Nathan Schneider)
Author and journalist Nathan Schneider joins us to discuss the role of cooperatives in a future where labor is increasingly automated. In a world where robots do most of the work, what matters is who owns the robots--is it the people? Or is it just the rich?
Nathan Schneider is an assistant professor of media studies at the University of Colorado Boulder, the editor of Ours to Hack and to Own along with Trebor Scholtz, and author of Thank You, Anarchy: Notes from the Occupy Apocalypse, God in Proof: The Story of a Search from the Ancients to the Internet, and the forthcoming Everything is for Everyone: The Radical Tradition that is Shaping the Next Economy. His work has also been featured in The Nation, Harper’s, Yes! Magazine, and many other publications. You can follow more of his work at www.nathanschneider.info.
