Assume any rate of improvement in efficiency and it's reasonable to believe that 3d-printers will soon become as ubiquitous as other small appliances in people's homes. However, with the rise of the 3d-printed guns along side this decentralization of additive manufacturing, this may present broader problems for societies, particularly the United States, that are struggling to curb gun violence.
